This position offers flexibility in where you work. It’s available in the following locations:

  • Remote, US (with occasional travel to Tampa)

While on-site or hybrid arrangements are preferred in Tampa, Orlando, or Akron, remote options are open for well-qualified candidates.

What You’ll Do

As a Computer Systems Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in developing, testing, and implementing advanced computer systems for aircraft simulations. You’ll apply your expertise to rehost embedded software, simulate aircraft systems, and create virtualized environments for operational flight programs. Your work will directly support cutting-edge simulation technology used in military aviation.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Software Development: Design, code, and test aircraft simulation systems using programming languages like C++.
  • System Integration: Rehost embedded software, simulate hardware interfaces, and integrate subsystems into a complete system.
  • Testing & Documentation: Support subsystem and system-level testing while preparing detailed technical documentation.
  • Collaboration: Interface with contractors, vendors, and government representatives to resolve technical challenges.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software or Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 3 Years Experience
  • Proficiency in C++ programming.
  • Strong team collaboration and self-starting skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.
  • Availability for occasional travel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in military aviation, particularly with simulation and avionics.
  • Expertise in virtualization technologies like VMWare or Hyper-V.
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-1553 protocols, Windows/Linux systems, and additional programming languages like Python or Ada.
  • Active DoD security clearance and CompTIA Security+ certification.
